Car racer Sandeep Prakash is racing against time to get his car ready for this Sunday’s Pacific Energy ¼ Mile Drag Race Series 2.

Fiji Motorsports Association President Raizal Haniff said the clutch for Fiji’s fastest legal street car has arrived yesterday and Prakash is trying his best to get his car ready before race day.

“Good news is also that the clutch for Fiji’s fastest legal street car has arrived into the country yesterday (Tuesday) and Sandeep Prakash is working extremely hard to get this part fitted for Sunday’s race. He is another one of the racers who is looking to join the nine second club this year and I’m pretty sure he will be able to achieve this very soon,” he added.

To promote female participation in the sport, registration for women who wish to race is free, Haniff added.

Gates open at 10.30am for spectators while registration for drivers begin at 9.30am and close at 11am.

Spectator entry is free.
