THE Ratu Kadavulevu School Under 18 side is still on course to defend its title at the 2018 Fiji Secondary School Powerade Super Deans Rugby Championship.

The Lodoni-based side thumped Nasinu Secondary School 46-nil in the quarter-final this afternoon.

Four tries in the first spell and another four in the second, were enough to book a spot in the last four for the defending champions.

RKS will meet Ratu Navula College in the semi-finals next week and it will take a brave man to bet against the Tailevu-based side after today’s performance.

RNC comfortably defeated John Wesley College 23-12 in their quarter-final.

The second semi-final in the Under 18 grade will see Cuvu College play Marist Brothers High School.

After running away to a 17-nil lead, Cuvu College had to fight hard to hold on to beat Lelean Memorial School 20-14.

Marist Brothers High School will be counting their lucky stars as they qualified to the semi-finals despite their match ending in a 5-all draw against Queens Victoria School.

MBHS qualified as both teams were locked at 5-all after extra time but MBHS had scored the first try.

Meanwhile, RKS’s dream of another clean sweep is over after its Under 17 side lost to MBHS 13-11 today.

RKS won all grades last year and will now focus on five of the six grades.

The Under 17 grade semi-finals, LMS plays Ratu Navula College while QVS battles MBHS.

The Under 17 grade will have a new winner as last years winners RKS have bowed out.

In the Under 19 grade, LMS plays NSS while RKS battles John Wesley College.

The semi-finals will be played next Saturday at Suva’s ANZ Stadium.
