A warrior only performs his best in battle when he trusts the brother in arms beside him.

The words cannot be more truer for brothers Setareki and Bruce Hughes when they play for Delta One Automotive Repairs Rewa in today’s 2020 Punjas Battle of the Giants semi-final.

“It is our mission in our first BOG together to bring glory for Rewa,” said the elder of the pair, Setareki.

The lads from Navunievu in Bua will be a talisman for coach Marika Rodu as they eye a berth in the final and help secure a ninth BOG title back to the Delta.

Setareki plays in the midfield while Bruce is comfortable at centre forward.

“The hard work has been done to get to the final four, we have to just trust our training and the guidance from our coach and do give it our all for the next game,” said Bruce.

Combined, the brothers have played a total of 13 years of top level football in Fiji, but will feature in only their second major tournament in the same jersey.

“We want this tournament to be a memorable one and we will have each others back on game day.”

Delta One Auto Repairs Rewa will face Priceline Pharmacy Ba in the first semi-final today at Churchill Park, Lautoka at 2pm.
