THERE is potential to boost opportunities for trade and investment exchanges between Fiji and China.
This was highlighted by the Ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China to Fiji, Qian Bo, during his courtesy visit to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Inia Seruiratu.
Mr Qian said through strengthened collaborations, there was potential to boost opportunities for trade and investment exchanges in areas of tourism, agriculture, fisheries, forestry, and cooperation in education, human resources, capacity building and skills training, health, and infrastructure developments.
He said China was committed to deepen its strategic engagement and friendship with the island nation.
Mr Seruiratu acknowledged the ambassador for his support in leading the positive development opportunities in a wide range of socio-economic sectors and particularly those that generate positive results for the welfare and well-being of the communities in Fiji.
He added that Fiji was also committed to broadening collaborations with the People’s Republic of China because it would promote initiatives for the benefit of both the countries.
