Post-TC Winston: Koro students still study in tents

THREE years after Tropical Cyclone Winston, students of Nakodu Mudu Primary School in Koro, Lomaiviti, are still having classes in tents.

And during a recent talanoa session at Sawaieke Village, Gau, Koro district representative Jale Tawake informed Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama that rehabilitation works on the school had started but the contractor had abandoned the construction site.

He said during wet weather, classes were moved from sheds and tents to the church or the village hall.
