Political parties promise to change media laws in Fiji

SOME of Fiji’s political parties contesting the 2018 general elections have promised a change in media laws if they are elected into government.
At least three – SODELPA, Fiji Labour Party, and the National Federation Party believe the media environment in the country was restrictive.
The leaders of these parties say they would remove media restrictions and that it was not regulated by the State.
