Attorney-General Siromi Turaga claims his predecessor is playing political games by exaggerating half truths to mislead the public in an attempt to pressure Republic of the Fiji Military Forces commander Major General Ro Jone Kalouniwai to invoke his powers under Section 131 of the 2013 Constitution.

The A-G said Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum had done nothing but make “baseless claims from unnamed sources which are no better than gossip”.

Mr Turaga said instead of calling press conferences, the FijiFirst party general secretary should file a constitutional redress application if he has any complaints against the coalition Government.
