A 47-year-old woman died following a motor vehicle accident on the Queens Rd highway along the Coral Coast this afternoon.
Police say the woman was traveling in a vehicle with three others when their car was allegedly hit by another vehicle driven by a 45-year-old man.
Police said the 45-year-old driver and another man were on their way to Suva while the vehicle that the victim was traveling in was heading towards Nadi when the accident occurred.
“All four occupants were rushed to the Korolevu Health Centre where the victim was, unfortunately, pronounced dead on arrival while three others were treated and sent home,” Police said.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
