POLICE White captain Sefanaia Seviwa says they need to work on their set pieces when they return next year.
They defeated Cuvu Blues 27-17 in the 42 Fiji Bitter Marist rugby 7s bowl final.
The law enforcement officers’ team consisted of young players who are part of their development squad.
‘We’re grateful to our head coach Manasa Bari for having faith in us especially our senior players for helping us,’ he said.
‘Due to some mistakes we committed in the end cost us the game against McDonald’s Saunaka in the quarter-final which we lost 22-17.
‘But we regrouped and came fighting back to win this.
‘We wanted to return to Nasova with a win and we achieved our goal.
“Cuvu gave us tough competition fighting their way up but with our strong defence we managed to hold them,’ Seviwa said.
In the shield Nakaiolo Kadavu team defeated Army FTG 21-10 while in the Oldies final Waimanu beat Suva 14-0.
