Police chief operations officer ACP Abdul Khan has sounded a warning to drug peddlers and movers that police would hunt them down.

While addressing the media in Suva today, ACP Khan said this year police had intensified their drug operations not only Kadavu but throughout Fiji as well.

“We have done major seizures out there including two days ago, we had seizures in Serua as well and also at jetties and wharfs where a number of drugs were concealed and transported through the inter-island shipping,” ACP Khan said.

“My message to the drug peddlers and pushers is that police will continue hunting on you and once we get you, you will be taken to task.”

He also said there would be influx of people coming into towns and cities Fiji wide and he  urged the members of the public to be careful of their personal belongings.

He highlighted that police officers had been deployed in uniforms and in civilian  that would increase visibility and monitor the streets.
