Police warn against use of laser lights

Update: 9:43PM THE Fiji Police Force is once again pleading with members of the public to refrain from shooting laser lights at low flying aircrafts as it is a serious safety threat.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said Police in the Eastern Division continued to receive reports of laser lights being shot directly in the cockpits of flying aircrafts affecting the pilot�s vision.
�Latest reports indicate the laser lights are being shot from the Davuilevu Housing area and we are reiterating the need to stop this practice considering the threats,� Ms Naisoro said.
�We have made this call numerous times and a taskforce has now been set up to look into the matter.�
Members of the public is requested to call Crime Stoppers on 919 or their nearest Police Station if they have any information about this issue.
