Police are waiting for terminated computer science teacher Kishore Kumar to be medically cleared before they can further question him.

Mr Kumar is being investigated for allegedly attacking National Federation Party parliamentarian Lenora Qereqeretabua on social media platform, Facebook.

In a previous interview, he claimed he was given a pornographic video which contained images of a woman who allegedly looked like Ms Qereqeretabua by another member of Parliament.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said they could not interview Mr Kumar at the present time because he was sick. “We are still awaiting medical clearance to question him,” she said.

“He (Mr Kumar) is sick so we cannot question him.” Education Minister Rosy Akbar terminated Mr Kumar’s employment for breaching the civil servants code of conduct.

Mr Kumar claimed he had been bold and vocal about the sex video on Facebook because he had the backing of very influential people who had deserted him when complaints were lodged with the authorities about his Facebook posts.
