Police take in few people for questioning over woman’s death

A few people have been taken in by Police for questioning in relation to the death of a woman whose lifeless body was found abandoned near her vehicle at Teidamu, Lautoka, a week ago.

Police had recently classified her death as murder after her post-mortem examination was conducted at the Lautoka Hospital.

Police media officer Wame Bautolu said investigations continued into the death of Shaleshni Devi.

Elder brother Navin Kumar said they conducted his sister’s final funeral rites at her home in Tavua yesterday.

The family hoped justice would prevail.
