Police sets focus on Island Chill Serua 7s tourney

McDonalds Fiji Coral Coast Sevens Champions the Police Rugby Sevens team has put last weeks victory behind them as they now turn their focus to the Island Chill Serua Rugby Sevens Tournament.

“It’s a new week and the last week’s victory is now behind us,” said team manager Police Constable Gaunavou Vakalevei.

Vakalevei said they would field a new set of players to give all players in their 30-man squad that did not feature last week a chance to play.

“Majority of the side that played last week will be rested this week including Kitione Taliga and Suli Vulivuli he also has national duties to look to.”

Vakalevei said players likely to get a run on this week include Vetaia Tiko, Iowane Ligatabu, Belasio Vukiwai, Elimeleki Leiloma and Simeli Koniferedi.

Keponi Paul and Livai Ikanikoda who both played important roles in last week’s victory will join the squad again this weekend at Thompson Park in Navua.
