Police seize 600 plants in raids

Fijian Police have uprooted more than 600 plants believed to be marijuana found on farms on Vanua Levu.

The drug raids were conducted from September 27 to October 6.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said a total of 20 people had been arrested following the drug raids.

Three people were arrested on Taveuni, two in Labasa and 15 in the Tukavesi area.

Police uprooted most of the plants from the Tukavesi area totalling 362, five plants in Labasa and 292 plants on Taveuni.
