Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the body of an iTaukei man found in a creek near the junction of Caubati Rd, Nasinu.

Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the man was seen walking from the Kinoya traffic lights partially clothed at around 9pm on Wednesday.

Ms Naisoro said an eye witness saw the victim jump into the creek and attempts to locate him were unsuccessful. She said police from Valelevu in Nasinu, with the assistance of National Fire Authority, managed to retrieve the victim where he was rushed to the Valelevu Health Centre but was unfortunately pronounced dead on arrival.

“Anyone who may have witnessed anything after 9pm at the above mentioned location, or may have a relative or family member missing is asked to please call 8937171,” she said.
