Police Regional Training of the Trainers

THE Fiji Police Force will be conducting a training of the trainers that will provide a strong foundation to enable early access to justice training across the Force and the region.

The training which will feature will members of regional Police Forces will focus on video recorded interview, investigative interviewing and procedures to ensure early access to justice in criminal proceedings.

The Force is organising this ‘Regional Training of the Trainers on Video Recorded Interview & Investigative Interviewing’ to build on initiatives regarding early access to justice in criminal proceedings.

The opening of the training will also serve as a launch for two police posters together with a training tool on investigative interviewing.

In keeping with Sustainable Development Goal 16, promoting inclusive societies, the Fiji Police Force have undertaken to print the posters in English, Hindi, I-taukei, braille and sign language

This training which begins tomorrow, August 27 and ends on August 31, is being supported by the British High Commission and the United Nations Development Programme, Pacific Office.
