TWENTY-five Police officers will undergo a one-month training on international peacekeeping deployment requirements.

Speaking at the Police Special Response Unit, Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said Fiji was proud of its contribution to peacekeeping under UN missions around the world.

The training will be facilitated by the US Bureau of Police peacekeeping policy and assistance.

This, Brig-Gen Qiliho said would ensure that at the end of the training, the Fiji Police Force would be able to have their own pool of peacekeeping trainers.

The training is underway at the Police Special Response Unit in Makoi.
