Police, Navy top list in Suva rugby

ESCOTT Shield defending champion Police Blues are the favourites to watch in the Suva Rugby union competition.

Police defeated QVSOB 29-21 in round three.

Going on to 105 years Suva Rugby Union has groomed and unleashed a lot of talented players that have moved on in representing the country.

This year will see Army coming back and try to take the shield back to Delainabua.

Well-known teams such as Breakthrough that was formed by former Fiji 7s captain Osea Kolinisau are also the favourites.

Secretary Paula Raqeukai has called on clubs to be prompt with their registration fee.

“Registration fee is now due and any final payments from clubs should be arranged with the SRU treasurer, Kelepi Funilagi before 17th.

“Please note that if clubs (those clubs that still owe SRU) don’t make any arrangement with the treasurer then their teams will not be allowed to play in round five.”
