POLICE are investigating the discovery of liquid that was sealed in plastic bottles and found floating in the sea near Udu Point, Vanua Levu.
The discovery was made by a group of women who were fishing in the area.
t is understood more than 30 bottles were found by the villagers.
The turaganikoro (village headman) handed over the bottles to Police on Tuesday.
Chief operations officer Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Livai Driu confirmed the find and said the liquid had been sent for analysis at the Fiji Police Forensic Sciences Services.
