POLICE are currently investigating provided by an 11-year-old student who claimed she saw four children tied up in a white van during an alleged kidnapping attempt on Thursday morning in Valelevu, Nasinu.
In a statement today, police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the victim claimed she recognised the uniforms worn by the four children.
“Investigators have liaised with the heads of the three schools (two were in the same uniform) and confirmed that no student has been reported missing or unaccounted for by their parent or guardian,” she said.
“Checks have also been made at all Police Stations in the Southern and Eastern Division area of operations, from Navua to Nausori and no reports of missing children remain pending over the last 48-hour period.”
