A PRIVATE car driven by a man veered off the road and crashed near the basketball court in Raiwaqa yesterday.
This was confirmed by police spokeswoman, Savaira Tabua to this newspaper.
She stated both the driver and his passenger were alleged to have been intoxicated.
“The driver was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital while the passenger is in custody,” she said.
She added investigations into the accident were continuing.
