A team of officers from the Fiji Police Force have been deployed to search for a man who is suspected to have caused the death of his father.
According to Police, the suspect allegedly assaulted his father resulting in his death at their Draubuta Village home in Navosa yesterday.
Police say the victim had been bedridden for some time.
“The suspect who was allegedly under the influence of alcohol assaulted his father as he lay on his bed,” Police said.
“The victim who was in his 60s sustained injuries and was rushed to the Navosa hospital where he was unfortunately pronounced dead.”
