Police continue to arrest people allegedly involved with drugs

POLICE have managed to arrest people who have been involved in drug related offences for the past few days.

Chief Intelligence and Investigation ACP Vakacegu Toduadua in a statement issued today said two men were arrested in relation to a drug find on Koro Island in the past two days.

ACP Toduadua said a 27-year-old man was allegedly found with 1.3 grams of dried leaves believed to be marijuana and the other a 30-year-old man was allegedly found with a green plant weighing 738.1grams believed to be marijuana.

He said in another incident on Malolo Island a 46-year-old man was also arrested yesterday after he was found in possession of 16 plants believed to be marijuana wrapped in a black plastic whilst a 23-year old man was allegedly found with 34 sachets of dried leaves suspected to be marijuana.

Meanwhile in the North Division a 36-year-old farmer of Qelewaqa was allegedly found with a clear plastic bag containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana.
