Police await post-mortem examination results

POLICE are waiting for the post-mortem examination results of Savenaca Nakuta who was allegedly killed in Ra last week.
The 50-year-old died while on his way to Rakiraki with his 10-year-old son last Friday night. He was allegedly assaulted by a group of drunken men.
Police spokeswoman Ana Naisoro said the three men who were being questioned for their alleged involvement in Mr Nakuta’s death had been released.
“Based on the outcomes of the post-mortem examination, the investigation file will be compiled and forwarded to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for sanctioning,” she said.
According to police, Mr Nakuta was dragged out of his vehicle before being allegedly assaulted, which resulted in his death.
