THE performance of Fiji’s most successful district at the recent OFC Champions League is an eye opener that we are still far behind our neighbour New Zealand to be called kings of Oceania.
Luckily Fiji champs were magically seeded as top Fiji representatives in Pool A, imagine if the champs were seeded as the second team and went to Pool B which had Auckland City and Amicale what would have happened.
This is also an eye-opener for the Fiji FA — it’s still not too late to follow the global FIFA tagline of “Fair play”.
Everyone knows that when the national football league finished in Fiji who was the top seeded team and who finished as runner-up.
I am wondering what will happen if the Fiji champs don’t finish as one of the top two finishers in this year’s league.
