A man described as a well known underworld figure in Papua New Guinea has escaped custody a second time – this time while receiving hospital treatment.
Tommy Maeva Baker gave warders the slip while in Port Moresby General Hospital.
The Post Courier reported he ran to a waiting vehicle which then disappeared.
Mr Baker is facing trial over robberies in Alotau in Milne Bay and at Kupiano station in Abau in Central Province.
