PNG Government plans to implement SDGs

PORT MORESBY – The Papua New Guinea Government is committed to implementing the UN Sustainable Development Goals by localising its indicators and targets through Medium Term Development Plan 3 of 2018-2022.
National Planning secretary Hakaua Harry outlined the Government’s way forward, singling out the organisational restructure to address national development policies and planning systems.
Ms Hakaua spoke about the importance of implementing the National Planning and Responsibility Act (2016) and Strengthen Strategic Partnership for a responsible sustainable development through StaRS.
She was speaking this week at the CIMC National Development Forum in Port Moresby.
“The way forward for us is to commit to implement UN SDGs by localising its indicators and targets through PNG Medium Term Development Plan 3 (2018-2022),” she said.
