The Prime Minister’s residence is a an asset for Fiji, says Attorney-General and Minister for Economy Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

“We cannot have people living in opulence and all that kind of nonsense,” he said.

“He’s not going to live in it.

“No one in this planet earth lives forever, all of us are mortals.

“We will die one day, you will die, the Prime Minister will die, and whoever is the next Prime Minister will occupy that space.

“It is an asset for Fiji.”
