PRIME Minister Voreqe Bainimarama claimed Opposition MP Pio Tikoduadua was a “jack-of-all-trades.”

This was highlighted in the Privileges Committee verbatim report when Mr Bainimarama was questioned on how well he knew Mr Tikoduadua.

Mr Bainimarama was the fourth witness called before the committee to give evidence on matters of privilege against him and Mr Tikoduadua on September 4.

Mr Bainimarama told the committee that he worked with Mr Tikoduadua for 15 years.

“Honorable Pio was with me since 2000 as my staff officer. And then I brought him as my permanent secretary during the military government ,” he said.

“And then, of course, he (Mr Tikoduadua) joined the FijiFirst party and then, of course, he came into the Government as Minister for Infrastructure.

“He was a personal staff officer. He was more like a jack-of-all-trades in my office. He was my assistant, my secretary. He organised things for me, especially my timetables, and everything to do with my program is done by the staff officer.”
