PM Bainimarama to open climate change ‘Sautalaga’

FIJIAN Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama will be delivering the opening statement at the Government of Tuvalu’s Climate Change Sautalaga.

The meeting is similar to the Fijian Government’s concept of a Talanoa session.

The meeting is an initiative of the Tuvaluan government.

It coincides with the 50th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting that officially begins tomorrow.

Mr Bainimarama arrived in Funafuti, Tuvalu, today for the meeting to take place this week.

The Fijian PM is attending the PIF leaders meeting after more than 10 years.

He is accompanied by the permanent secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office, Yogesh Karan, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs official Esala Nayasi.
