The manner in which Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama approaches when criticisms against the Government is childish, says National Federation Party president Pio Tikoduadua.

He said just like how he claimed an Opposition was bitter about losing a council election after questioning the provincial councils.

“Every time he is criticised, he can only make personal attacks,” Mr Tikoduadua said.

In another recent incident, he said Mr Bainimarama attacked party leader Professor Biman Prasad’s wife who was an award-winning academy at the University of the South Pacific after Government was criticised for former USP VC Professor Pal Ahluwalia’s deportation.

“He (Bainimarama needs to grow up,” Mr Tikoduadua said.

He said Mr Bainimarama should understand that he was being paid by the taxpayers to lead the country.

During a tour in the Northern Division, Mr Bainimarama claimed Prof Prasad “sucked up” to Prof Ahluwalia so his wife could get a post at the regional university.
