Please go to the Government’s Facebook page! You have all the information there that is the source of truth.
The plea was made by Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and Attorney-General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum to the people of Tavua on Wednesday.
Mr Sayed-Khaiyum accompanied the PM to the West to officiate at the ground-breaking ceremony of the iTaukei land development grant project in Vuda and Tavua.
He urged about 100 people present to heed only the truth and that was from the Government, particularly about land issues.
“So, there are a lot of people going around talking about these things and all of this information is available on the government page.
“Please go to the government page,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
“You listen to the speeches there.
“You have all the information there that is a source of truth.
“Don’t go to One Mind One Goal and people talking on Facebook because all of it is nonsense.”
The Prime Minister said it was sad that many people were misinformed about Act 21 and many were led to believe that iTaukei land would be taken away from them.
Mr Sayed-Kahiyum said that not a single millimetre of iTaukei land had been taken away from landowners and the law was there to protect them.
