People need to listen and adhere to the health instructions issued by the Government, says Nawaka tramline resident Mohammed Siddiq.

“On Sunday, a staggering 105 COVID-19 cases was announced by the Ministry of Health, out of which 16 cases were from Nawaijkuma settlement and six cases stemming from our area,” he said.

He said a further six positive cases were identified on Monday from the Nawaijkuma settlement by the Ministry of Health (MOH) “The main thing is for the people to listen and stay at home.

Everyone wants the lockdown lifted but it will only open if we follow the rules set in place.”

Mr Siddiq has urged people living in the Nawaka area to be more responsible if they want the case numbers to drop.

“It is a matter of worry, we are all stuck because of this disease and if me and my family can stay at my home and not move here and there carelessly, then I think everyone can do the same.”
