THE Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities has plans to review various projects around the country including operations of minibuses, bicycle priority networks, pedestrian crossings and local area traffic management.
Future projects had also been earmarked for 2016-2017.
During the New Zealand-Fiji Business forum in Suva this week, Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Utilities deputy secretary Lui Naisara said they were also looking at a new bus terminal in Nasinu.
Speaking to New Zealand investors, Mr Naisara said they were working on minimising traffic congestions.
He said there were also talks of a new monorail system between Lami, Suva and Nasinu.
“That idea has not withered away and yes we are still looking to it as a possibility whether Fiji is worth investing into monorails,” he said.
The business forum will end on Friday.
