NEXT year’s Oktoberfest celebration will be held in Vuda, Lautoka, and Savusavu simultaneously.
Vuda Marina general manager and CEO Adam Wade said the inaugural event in Lautoka this year was a trial run.
However, he said while the event was the first of its kind at the marina, it definitely was not the last.
“Overall, the response was overwhelmingly positive and I didn’t get any negative comment from anybody,” he said.
“For this event, we put on six or seven specific German dishes. This included pretzel breads, hendel (chicken) and würstl (sausages).
“We themed it and the staff got dressed in uniforms. To keep with tradition, the men wore lederhosen and women wore dirndl dresses.”
Mr Wade said the event would be held in conjunction with the Copra Shed Marina in Savusavu.
