WOMEN officers at the Labasa Police Station took time off their busy schedules today to raise money and join in creating awareness for breast cancer in the country.

Officers turned up dressed in pink bula colours for the fundraising Pinktober morning tea held at the station’s training room.

Speaking at the morning tea, Inspector Sainimili Vakatale said women officers at the station had planned to hold the fundraising and assist those leaving with breast cancer and their families.

WIP Vakatale said women police officers were always busy with their work but to take time off to donate to a worthy cause was an honour and joy for them.

Money raised will be donated to the Fiji Cancer Society.
