Physical trauma

The implications of the psychological language, putting the old and young at opposite tables, for our bodies, is a network of messages, consistently being transmitted, and received, some of these messages, nourish and sustain us, for example;

-If young is good, old must be bad;

-If the young have it all, than the old, must be losing it;

-If young is dynamic, old must be dull and staid;

-If young is beautiful, old must be unattractive;

-If it’s exciting to be young, it must be boring to be old;

-If the young are full of passion, the old must be beyond caring; and,

-If children are our tomorrow than old people must be our yesterday, we are made victims of sickness and death by gaps, and self-knowledge.
