IF you do not become a teacher or a civil servant it does not mean that you are a failure.

These were the words of the Minister for Fisheries Semi Koroilavesau during his visit to the Yasayasa Moala College last month.

Mr Koroilavesau reminded the students to carry out their duties to the best of their abilities.
“Whatever you do in life do it to the best of your ability, nobody is a failure. You’re only a failure if you quit,” Mr Koroilavesau said.

He said parents need to understand that whatever career path they were destined with they should learn to accept.

“Irrespective of what career opportunity arises our parents should accept it, it is the calling of God that dictates where you are going,” he said.

Vice prinicipal Veasi Gukirewa acknowledged Mr Koroilavesau for taking out his time to visit the school.

“We are deeply honoured and grateful to have you visit us here, in the past three years I have taught in this school you are the first government minister to visit our school,” Mr Gukirewa said.

The students were thrilled to have the Mr Koroilavesau visit the school and serenaded his team with a very well-sung school song.
