“He is my biggest inspiration.” These were the words of Paul Dolokoto, the younger brother of Swire Shipping Fijian Drua prop Mesulame Dolokoto, while watching him play against the Reds last night.
Paul, who is also a member of the Fiji Warriors side just returned from Samoa after winning the World Rugby Pacific Challenge.
“He’s always giving me advice on playing rugby, certain things I should and should not do to better myself on the field,” the Vanua Levu man said.
“I love seeing him play, just living the dream that he always had when he was a teenager, being able to represent the country.”
Paul said seeing his brother represent the Fijian Drua side has allowed him to set standards for himself, as he also aims to pursue a career in rugby.
“It just kind of makes me proud to see him run out for the Drua every other weekend. It makes me happy.”
Like every other young Fijian around the country, Paul hopes to one day represent the Country and don the white jumper.
“I’m blessed to be able to play for the Fiji Warriors, but someday I hope to become part of the national 15’s side, the Flying Fijians. The Drua will now wait for the Western Force versus Chiefs match to see who they face in the quarter-finals.
