Following in his elder brother’s footsteps, Paul Dolokoto will debut on the right wing for the Swire Shipping Fiji Warriors this afternoon when they take on Manuma Samoa during the Fiji Rugby Invitational Series at the HFC Bank Stadium in Laucala Bay, Suva.

Dolokoto is the younger sibling of Flying Fijians and Fijian Drua hooker Mesulame.

Speaking after the Warriors final team run yesterday, Dolokoto said he was ready to run out and represent his country.

“I am very blessed to be here,” said Dolokoto.

“I am grateful for the opportunity given to me to play tomorrow (today) and I will do my best. I was so surprised to see my name in the initial squad and I thank God for giving me talent and providing a way for me to showcase it.

“I know my older brother Mesu has set a standard for me and I will try my best to reach it or be better.”

The Koroivonu, Cakaudrove lad, who just turned 21 earlier this month, said he would do his best to try and score tries.

“My job is to be a good finisher. I know my teammates will work hard for possession and valuable metres.

“I will perform to the best of my abilities to take the ball and finish off all the hard work they had achieved by scoring tries.” He urges aspiring rugby players to always do their best no matter the circumstances.

“My message to them is for them to do their best. Always do your best and be consistent in whatever you put your focus into because there is a living God and he will reward you accordingly.”

Dolokoto play for the QVS Old Boys club and featured for Suva in this year’s Skipper Cup competition.
