PASSENGERS booked for travel on board the Spirit of Love for Levuka are advised that the second sailing of the vessel today has been delayed.

The Patterson Brothers Shipping Company Ltd has advised that the heavy rain had washed away some bridges in northern Ovalau.

Yesterday, the company had to closely monitor the bridge at Bureta following advice from bus drivers that the buses were not able to cross it yesterday morning because it was partially washing away from the airport side.

The shipping company, on its official Facebook page, today advised passengers that if the company had not announced a change in schedule, it meant there was no change.

“We sail all day every day. Our sailors aren’t made of sugar, this little rain won’t stop them,” the company stated.

“If the roads are affected, we will post it here. If your FB message is not replied to, it is because there is no change.”
