Passengers claim in the dark when engine switched off; stuck out at sea for two hours

Passengers traveling to Vanua Levu from Natovi last night on board a vessel were stuck out at sea for about two hours.

Passengers who contacted The Fiji Times said the engine just switched off causing a total blackout in the vessel that belongs to Interlink Shipping Line Ltd.

At about 6.30am this morning, a passenger confirmed that they had not reached Nabouwalu.

“We asked around but they didn’t tell us anything.”

It is believed this alleged incident happened after midnight.
