CAPTAIN Cook Cruises Fiji has partnered with Cure Kids Fiji to assist the non-profit organisation in overcoming urgent child health challenges in Fiji.

Through the partnership, the cruise company plans to give $1 per night for every room booked on an opt out basis by guests on the MV Reef Endeavour. Captain Cook Cruises Fiji general manager Tony Acland said they were pleased to be given an opportunity to help an organisation that was driven to help children in Fiji.

“We are so happy to be given the opportunity to partner with Cure Kids Fiji and look forward to proactively helping improve health outcomes for Fijian children and their families,” he said.

“Many of our staff, who we consider family, have children and grandchildren who have been affected by these illnesses and we hope to not only save lives but to also build a sense of community and purpose around this important cause.”

The company revealed that 100 per cent of the money collected would go directly towards Cure Kids Fiji.

Captain Cook Cruises Fiji would also work with the RHD (rheumatic heart disease) team to facilitate screening in remote Fijian villages and schools on Captain Cook Cruises itineraries to the Yasawa, Mamanuca and Lau groups.

In addition to this, Captain Cook Cruises Fiji will support annual fundraising and charity events and help promote Cure Kids Fiji and the work they do through raising awareness and educating their guests, the people of Fiji and its staff members.
