After the last Parliament sitting about two weeks ago I have seen several views expressed in our local newspapers.
A few even asked if there is a need to have assistant ministers since they were not answering queries raised by the opposition members.
I also watched the deliverance on TV and would like to add that I was equally amazed to see the assistant ministers not responding to queries in the absence of their ministers.
Another issue that concerned me was the questions asked by the government back-benchers to their ministers.
It was so obvious that the party caucus meeting is missing.
To my understanding in the past the political parties used to have their regular caucus meetings whereby all their members were properly informed of the issues to be discussed in Parliament.
I believe it is a waste of time and money when a member of the same political party asks questions to their own ministers and waste their valuable time.
