Paris 7s: Fiji coach optimistic

FIJI Airways Fiji 7s coach Gareth Baber says Fiji who are currently top of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series standings has changed nothing in their approach towards the Paris 7s tournament, the last stop on the circuit and will continue to play as they have done all season.
“The game plan remains much the same,” Baber said.
“We will continue to play to our strengths.”
Baber says they have found themselves in another strong pool with England, Ireland and Argentina and will be expecting a tough tournament this weekend.
“They are three teams that are capable of putting performances in; we have beaten them all recently so the game plans going into those games will be similar,” he said.
“It is up to the other teams to chase us and we are very confident in the way we play the game and we have to concentrate on getting our game right and dealing with whatever the opposition brings.”
Despite the fact Baber knows after playing the teams throughout the season, all of the teams in the pool are also capable of creating upsets.
Meanwhile, skipper Paula Dranisinukula and Jerry Tuwai who picked up slight injuries in London are recovering well and are training with the team.
Fiji will first face England at 10.50pm on Saturday and then Argentina at 2.16am on Sunday morning before wrapping up its final pool game against Ireland at 5.42am.
