The Fiji Fashion Week signed on a major sponsor to one of the premier events in the fashion industry, receiving a check of $75,000.

Fiji Fashion Week managing director Ellen Whippy-Knight had announced at a press conference in Suva today that they had waited to work with Palmolive for a very long time.

“Today for Fiji fashion Week, we have waited for many years for this occasion. So we are very excited and very proud to announce that for the first time in many years, Fiji Fashion Week has an official naming right sponsor for Fiji fashion Week 2020,” Ms Whippy-Knight said.

“Fiji Fashion Week has been around for 13 years and it cannot survive if it doesn’t have sponsors.”

She said FFW was a platform that had originated in 2008 and had contributed to the growth and development of the industry, especially for the designers to promote their work globally.

The check was handed over by Colgate-Palmolive (Fiji) Ltd general manager for Fiji and the Pacific Islands Hiten Lal and marketing manager Jyotika Devi.
