WHEN Talei Tuitoga learnt about the royal visit some weeks ago, she arranged for a painting of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, something she
wanted her four-year-old daughter Ro Kelerayani Rakavono to hand deliver to them as they flew out of the country yesterday.

Britain will always remain a special place to them as their dad is a British citizen having served in the British Army.

“We saw on television that most people were giving bouquets and placards so we wanted to do something different,” Ms Tuitoga said.

Theirs was a tapa painting of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“Her dad is a British citizen and he is a British Army veteran. My daughter has never been to England and this is so special to us. This visit is
bringing England closer to home.”

Ms Tuitoga and her daughter left their home in Tavua at 6am for Nadi to be part of the final royal official engagement before Prince Harry and
Meghan Markle flew out to Tonga yesterday.
