THIRTY eight children of Dilkusha Home in Nausori have something to smile about after Pacifica Environmental Solutions provided essential supplies to the home today.

Regional manager and Fiji branch director Ashika Sharma presented the home with sponge mats, mattresses, pillows, pillows cases, blankets and bed sheets valued at around $5000.

All 38 children at the home will now have new beddings thanks to today’s donation.

Sharma said, this was something they had been doing since opening their office in Fiji early last year.

“We have been making donations and presenting supplies to plenty families and those in need. Our global director Terry Coleman who is based in Auckland, New Zealand, wants this to continue and it is our pleasure to be able to do something for these kids,” she said.

“The small children used to play on tiles in the playroom and now they have soft mats. It will help them as they will be away from the cold and also chances of getting injured will be less.”

The Dilkusha Home is home to 38 children, 26 of whom are schooling while 12 are babies.

Pacifica Environmental Solutions is a New Zealand-based company that does asbestos mitigation and air monitoring in Fiji and the Pacific.

According to Ms Sharma, they will be conducting similar initiatives to senior citizens homes in December this year.
