THE Pacific Theological College’s Institute of Mission and Research is currently hosting the Reweaving the Ecological Mat Conference at the Skylodge Hotel, Namaka, Nadi.

REM is a project that hopes to gather church leaders in ecumenical fashion, working together to address the ecological crisis of traditional roles, values, identities in relation to the environment and the further linkages with social issues – poverty, economy and poor development models.

The REM conference is attended by church leaders from around the Pacific, some include the Archbishop of the Catholic Church in Fiji, the Methodist Church, Anglican Church to name a few.

Archbishop Peter Loy Chong during his presentation reminded those present at the event that faith was not limited to a church.
